Whew. I wasn’t expecting that from you.
It’s not very often that I share what really goes on with an online audience, with my list, my Facebook friends or otherwise. Actually, I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve shared a blog post that was deeply personal and made me nervous to actually post. I have a wee bit of a vulnerability stop when it comes to sharing about my personal life, struggles and even wins with a huge audience. It’s wildly out of my comfort zone, other than within the IGC membership mastermind and truth be told, a practice that I actually do want to do more of.
Last week I wrote about how fear shows up in my life on a regular basis. The response to my email/blog was crazy! Your stories of fear, the way that this tool has changed your lives, your loving words letting me know that I’m not alone and I, too am just having a human experience, were so comforting to read. I thank you, sisters!
Thank you for making this a safe space to share vulnerably; I forget that sometimes it can be okay to do this. I forget sometimes to feel fear in the process, but do so anyway (isn’t that the whole point!?). In the online world which often seems to be riddled with judgment, competition and the 2017 version of Mean Girls, I’ve got that say that your responses have brought so much light into my life.
To keep the momentum going, I want to ask you: What are you fearful of, but want to commit to doing anyway?
