Is IGC Coaching School ICF Accredited?

Yes.

IGC Coaching School offers coach education accredited by the International Coaching Federation at both Level 1 and Level 2.

ICF accredits coach education programs that meet established standards for coach-specific education, curriculum, faculty, ethics, observed coaching, feedback, and other program requirements.

IGC’s Level 2 program provides coach education designed to support the education requirements on the pathway toward the ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential.

Students can independently verify IGC’s accreditation through the International Coaching Federation’s Education Search Service.

VERIFY IGC WITH THE INTERNATIONAL COACHING FEDERATION HERE.

Important: IGC Certification vs. an ICF Credential

Completing an ICF-accredited program and earning a certification from IGC is not the same thing as receiving an individual credential from the International Coaching Federation.

IGC graduates who successfully complete the applicable program requirements earn their certification through IGC Coaching School.

Students who want to earn an ACC, PCC, or MCC credential apply separately through the International Coaching Federation and must complete ICF’s applicable credentialing requirements.

We believe prospective coaches should understand this distinction before choosing any coach training program.

IGC X: Accelerated Level 2 Coach Training

IGC X provides an accelerated route through IGC’s Level 2 curriculum.

Instead of attending live training once per week over approximately eight months, IGC X students attend live training twice per week and can complete the Level 2 training program in approximately 16 weeks.

The accreditation level, curriculum, training requirements, and professional standards remain the same. The primary difference is pace.

IGC X is intended for students who have the schedule and capacity to complete professional coach training on a more intensive timeline.

Is IGC Training Live or Self-Paced?

IGC’s core coach education is live and instructor-led.

Students learn coaching by studying it, watching it demonstrated, practicing it, receiving coaching themselves, and getting feedback.

IGC also provides digital curriculum and resources that students can access outside of live class.

This hybrid approach allows students to complete supporting education flexibly without replacing the live interaction and coaching practice that are central to professional coach development.

What Does IGC Teach?

IGC’s coach education is grounded in the ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics.

Training includes areas such as:

  • Coaching agreements
  • Active listening
  • Trust and safety
  • Powerful questioning
  • Facilitating client awareness
  • Goal setting and accountability
  • Ethical coaching practice
  • Coaching presence
  • Client autonomy
  • Professional boundaries
  • Observed coaching and feedback
  • Practical application of coaching skills

IGC also incorporates experiential and being-based approaches to coaching.

Students don’t simply learn what to say during a coaching session. They develop greater awareness of how they listen, respond, communicate, and show up as coaches.

Does IGC Teach Students How to Build a Coaching Business?

Yes.

One of IGC’s distinguishing features is the integration of professional coach education with business development education.

Learning to coach and learning to build a coaching business are different skill sets.

Students who intend to work independently may also need to understand how to choose a niche, create an offer, communicate their value, market themselves, conduct sales conversations, price services, and develop sustainable revenue.

IGC Level 2 students receive lifetime access to the Six Figure Certified™ Business Suite, which includes education related to:

  • Coaching niche development
  • Offer creation
  • Pricing and packaging
  • Marketing
  • Sales
  • Client acquisition
  • Brand development
  • Group coaching
  • Course creation
  • Additional coaching revenue streams
  • Business planning

Business education does not guarantee that a student will acquire clients or reach a particular income level.

Its purpose is to give coaches practical business education alongside their professional coach training.

What Is the Six Figure Circle?

The Six Figure Circle is IGC’s ongoing professional development and coaching community.

Level 2 students receive lifetime access.

The community is designed to give students and graduates continued access to professional development, business education, coaching, community, and opportunities to continue learning beyond their initial certification program.

IGC’s philosophy is:

Work for yourself, not by yourself.

The Six Figure Circle is one way that philosophy continues after formal training ends.

What Results Does IGC Report?

IGC reports a 97% graduation rate based on internal program records.

IGC also collects information about student professional activity through live class reporting and mid-course and end-of-course surveys.

Some of this information is self-reported and some survey responses may be anonymous. For that reason, IGC distinguishes internally reported student outcomes from independently audited employment data.
